Stop and Smell Everything - Fancy Pants

Today on the Fancy Pants Blog,  I am going to try to get you to use those Sticky Notes!!!

When I first started designing with Fancy Pants, I warned them that I scrapbooked real.  This my friends, is as real as it gets.  Walks are impossible.  I have no control.  I try to chose a route with very little hydrants for this reason.  She stops and smells everything.  Hence, my title!  If you can get passed the picture, lets look at how I incorporated those gorgeous Attwell Sticky Notes into my layout.

To see the entire layout, you MUST go to the Fancy Pants blog today!

You can get the Attwell collection  and anything else you need, from the Paper Issues store for 20% using code: Mary-Ann.

BOSTON - Paper Issues

It is time for the New Issue over on the Paper Issues blog!!
The team gets a head start with the following prompts.....use a large, dramatic element on your page like a title, embellishment or photo; create a layout about your mom (or someone who's like a mom) and the things she says, the lessons she's taught you, how you're alike or how you're different; use the new PI llama card; create a project about a stage show, your favorite TV drama, a musical, etc.

You can participate too! You may even be featured on the blog. To enter with any of the above creations, go to the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Page to enter.

I chose a great big "dramatic" title.
For papers, I used Crate Paper Shine that is available in the Paper Issues shop for 20 % off with Code: Mary-Ann. It can be used on your entire order.

This was such a fun day in Boston.  We went to the top of the Prudential.  It is a 360 degree look out at the entire city.  Behind  my boys, you can see Fenway Park.  Pretty cool.  You could also see the Finish Line from the Boston Marathon from up there.  Definitely a fun place to explore.

Canal Street - Fancy Pants

Welcome to Around the Globe week over at Fancy Pants Designs.  Today, I want to share with you, my favorite place to escape!  No one wants to go with me most of the time, so I get to go by myself.   It is just the next town over and can cost nearly as much as a beach side villa!  As you approach Canal Street, you can see all the old brick textile buildings.  Many have been transformed into loft spaces, businesses and restaurants.  It is absolutely beautiful.  My favorite location is in a building all to itself.  Packed full of miscellaneous antiques, all perfect for my home decor!  So, if you are ever in the area, you should stop buy, it will not disappoint!

To see the entire layout, you do have to go to the Fancy Pants blog.
To get this FREE Globe Cut File - go to the Paper Issues store HERE.  You can also get 20% off this Attwell collection with code: Mary-Ann while you are there!

Thanks for dropping in.

Planner Organization - mambi

I have been trying to organize all of my planner goodies.  I am on the mambi blog today, sharing some of my ideas.  I hope you will stop by.  Here is a peek at what I have done with the discs.

Boston - Paper Issues

Paper Issues is shining the spotlight on Simple Stories: Life in Color today on their blog.

I decided to create with a photo our our day in Boston with the Jennings.
Both Em and Bub jumped high for several photos.  It was a fun, unexpected day.

I cut out the clouds from a 12x12 sheet.  Placed them around where I wanted them.  I emphasized the clouds by doodling with a black marker and machine stitched around the edge of my page.

Broken - Paper Issues

OMG, March was crazy!  The night our entire family had plans in all different directions, a bike accident brought us all together.
My baby boy broke his ulna and radius, right above his wrist.
We are calling it a mountain lion attack because it sounds cooler.

When I opened the March Swag Bag from Paper Issues, and saw all the green, I knew his it was perfect for documenting his green cast!  Lime green cast that is.

The Paper Issues blog has a couple layouts using Swag Bags today on their blog.

The base paper is a piece of Webster's Pages. Oh, you can grab anything you want from the Paper Issues store for 20% off when you use my code: Mary-Ann.  Even Swag Bags!!!

Wait! and Documenting Today - Simple Stories

Good Morning!
I am excited about my posts over on the Simple Stories blog today.
I used the Life In Color collection for both layouts.
It is pretty amazing how one collection can be used in different ways.

Documenting Today was super fun.  I actually put it together in my moms living room when recently visiting her.  I had a mess everywhere!  The photo in this layout if from our trip to North Carolina.

Wait!  Stop & Smile is documenting dinner with my sister and her man at our favorite place to eat back home.  There is nothing but fresh fried seafood!  It is pretty amazing the smiles you get from people when you tell them to say, "booger!"

Remember, you can grab this collection:
Life in Color, from the Paper Issues store for 20% off using Code: Mary-Ann.

Thanks for taking a look.  See you again soon.

Tool Box Teaching - A Flair for Buttons

Today I am sharing a layout I created using Photoplay's This Guy collection over on the A Flair for Buttons Blog.  It was so easy to incorporate flair with this layout and theme.  I used browns and tans to stay in keeping with the color scheme.
My boy and his dad created a homemade toolbox with what was on hand for Cub Scouts.  He earned credit for this and used many tools in the process.

Thanks for stopping by.
