Sunny Days - Fancy Pants

If you haven't noticed a trend lately with my layouts, I am going to go ahead and point it out!  All of my photos have been from my older stash.  I realize that I skipped a couple of years with really great memories.  Don't have any idea what happened.  I did scrap some things just not very many.   I think it was when we were it our itty bitty apartment for a year and trying to buy our home.  I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  Looking at nearly 100 homes that just would not do!  It was awful.  Any who- lets get back to the point, shall we.  This layout is of Roman at Revere beach with his Grampy and Nana from Florida.  He was stripped down to his undies wearing his grampy's big shoes.  Head over to Fancy Pants to see even more of this beautiful Making Waves collection and the entire layout!  You won't be sorry.

Thanks for popping in!

100+ Miles - The Cut Shoppe

Sad to say this will be my last post over at The Cut Shoppe.  I have enjoyed my time over there, creating next to really talented ladies.  I am sad to go.  I won't be far though.  I will continue to created with plethora of files she has provided to her team.  She has been very very generous and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know her more and work with her designs.

Here is my last post:

My boys went on a 4-wheeling trip in Maine last year with my parents.  They all thought they were going 80 miles but ended up doing over 100!  Roman complained of a sore butt for days.

I will still be around with other design teams, just the end of this fun trip!

Sweet Sticker Face

I recently came across this fun picture of my boy with his grandparents.
He was only 4 at the time and super cute I must say.  Where has the time gone?  I don't remember him this tiny.  Anyway, I love the printable from Paper Issues that says "I (with a big heart) your face."  Well, I certainly do in these photos.  He is so cheesy!

Head over to Paper Issues blog to be inspired by other Design Team member using various

I used a recent Studio Calico kit for this project and a alphabet cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  Yup, there is pink on this boy layout.  Thank goodness Grammie is the photo too:o)

CHUMS - A Flair for Buttons

Today I have a project over at A Flair for Buttons.  Shelley flair are absolutely beautiful and blend well on any project.  I love to use them.  Here is what I recently created with her flair.

My boy does not venture up to the man cave without his entourage.  Just recently he started going up to the room by himself.  Or, without another person.  I wandered up recently to see what was going on and this is what I found!

I have to show you the sets of flair that I picked from.  You can see the set as a whole, is pretty bright and colorful.  I selected out the soft muted flair to add to my project.

She has a gazillion more sets.  Go over HERE to check them out.

Mother's Day - The Cut Shoppe

This year for Mother's Day, we were in Florida at Legoland on probably the hottest day ever!
A couple years ago on MY day, we bought a 4-wheeler for my husband.  Not all the activities we do on Mother's Day are about me.  But, I will confess that I am pretty spoiled most days of the year.  I guess it doesn't have to be solely about me, as long as I am with the one who made me a mother, right!

Here is the layout that is being featured over at The Cut Shoppe today.

What did you do for Mother's Day?  I would love to know!

Smitten - Paper Camellia

If you remember my comments on my last layout for Paper Camellia, I mentioned that I am surrounded by boy stuff.  So, I took this opportunity to create a layout of my pup, Flo and to use up some of the amazing pink and gold included in this months Main Scrapbooking Kit and Add-on.

Stop over to Paper Camellia to see the details of the kit and close ups of my layout.

SHOOT - Paper Camellia

Good morning!
We have survived our Disney trip and I am back at creating again.
Hope you like my next project.

It shows you what happens around my house on a continuous basis.  I feel I am surrounded by boys and boy stuff.  Thank goodness I have a pretty girl pup!  I sometimes feel out numbered!  I am not a fan of the  target on my door but after a couple years of it being there, I don't see it anymore! For my layout, I knew I wanted a large title.  So, I started with that.  Decided next on the woodgrain background because there were so many complimentary colors in my photo.  Again, I changed the color of the gold Thickers with some black spray paint.  Tone on tone journaling helps keep the focus on the photo and title.

Closeups of my layout can be found over at Paper Camellia.

Oh yeah, there is an awesome sketch over on the blog too.  I stayed pretty close to the original here.  Usually I like to change it up, but not this time.

I'll be sharing Disney photos soon.  Check back.

Pool Boy - Fancy Pants

Yup, I am talking about our pool today over at Fancy Pants.
We are not ready yet.  Maybe never will be with this weather.
We froze to death last night at the big baseball game.

Anyway, I created a boy layout using the brand new Summer Sun Collection from Fancy Pants.  Although it is girlier than the other brand new line, Making Waves, I wanted to share how you can still use the beautiful papers for a boy layout.
Head over HERE to see more.

Come back soon!

Paper Issue and Tombow Blog Hop

Today, Paper Issues is teaming up with Tombow USA to bring you a fantastic Blog Hop.  Six members from the PI team and six from the Tombow team are swapping product and sharing the results with you through a hop!  You probably arrived here through
Jennifer Priest's blog.  If your a bit lost, head over to the Paper Issues blog to start from the beginning.

Both companies are offering giveaways!  You can win prizes by making your way through the blog hop list, leaving comments.    Then, pop over to the Paper Issues Face Book Page and tell what your favorite project.

Here is a list of blogs you need to make your way to:

<<<Mary-Ann Maldonado>>> You Are HERE!

Here is what I created using products from Paper Issues and adhesives from Tombow USA.
I used the Confetti line from Maggie Holmes Crate Paper (all purchased in the Paper Issues Store) to document my 32, no 33, no 42nd birthday!  Below I will share with you which adhesives I used for which product and why.

Take a look at this glorious adhesive.  Tombow USA has been my go-to adhesive for like, ever!  This is what the Paper Issues DT is playing with.

The Tombow USA team is creating with the March edition of Paper Issues' popular Swag Bag.

Sometimes I find that the chipboard shapes are a bit to chunky.  With my fingernail, I peel off quite a bit of the back, making it thinner, less bulky for my scrapbooking albums.  Once I do that, the adhesive has usually been removed.  To adhere this, I used the Xtreme Permanent Adhesive, because it has such a strong hold.    To adhere paper to paper, I use the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.  Perfect for spreading adhesive to larger areas with the broad end of the tube.  I added the flair using the Adhesive Dots.

I use a text box through my Word program to add my journaling to a smaller item.  I print it first on a piece of paper, then run that same paper back through attaching my tag with the Mono Multi Liquid Glue.  This glue can be used as a permanent glue or a temporary adhesive if you let it dry first.  Once I ran my tag through, I just rubbed the adhesive off of the back and inserted my tag into the hidden pocket.

Head to the next blog.  Don't forget to leave comments for a chance to win prizes!  Paper Issues is giving away a $20.00 gift certificate to the store.  Tombow USA will be giving away the adhesives that mentioned above!

Your next stop on the blog list is:

Mother's Day - mambi

On my dresser in my bedroom, I have a frame that says "no ordinary mom" that houses the bottom photo.  It has to be one of my favorite of my son and I.  I just love the cheesy look on his face.  He was only 2 at the time but I won't tell you my age:o)  One of the best things about mambi is that they create product that can be blended together.  For example, for the papers, I used four different collections to build my layout.  I also used two different sets of Pocket Pages™ for layering behind my photo, fussy cutting the heart and for the journaling part of my project.  I combined different mambiCHIPS along with a combination of letters.  In the scrapbooking world, anything goes!  If you like it, combine it.

While your in the shop, use this coupon code to receive 30% off your order until May 4th.
Now lets take a look at all the hard work I put into this puppy, shall we.

In scrapbooking, trends come and go.  Right now, I am on a Stickles and pearl pen kinda kick.  I love the blotches of color that you can create in exactly the right places.  You should give it a try.  I love paint splotches too, but some times, those are not controllable.  Stickles go exactly where you put them, unless your cat walks through it!

Oh, I used the fabulous Elle's Studio Cienna collection that I bought over at Paper Issues - head there and use code: Mary-Ann for 20% off anything you NEED!

Have a great weekend creating!
