You Me Mini Album - mambi

me & my BIG ideas is sharing the last project I made for CHA (Craft and Hobby Association).
Pretty fitting since we are rapidly approaching Valentine's Day.
Tell me, when does it come more about your children on this day and less about your spouse???
I don't remember when it switched! lol.
Back to the point!  This little mini is made up of all things mambi

You can not really tell, but folks, these black letters are uber glittery and totally amazing!

You can see that I left this blank for the show.  You could fill it with pictures of your loved one or your kids!

Thank you so much for taking a look at this photo heavy post.
I won't keep you any longer!

Come & Get It! Paper Issues

Holy cow, when I saw this new Saturday Morning line from October Afternoon,
I had flashbacks to when I was a kid.  I actually went back and dug out some old photos to make sure they did not copy the wallpaper that was in the house we grew up in!
I want the flower paper in bulk.  I adore it.
I chose not to use an old photo but opted for a photo I had been saving for a year.
This kid loves eggs.
If he is lolly gagging on a school morning, mention eggs and he moves like Evel Knievel.
Be sure to read the journaling, besides the egg flair, it is probably the best part!

She Believed She Could - Double Shaker Card - TRC

I am pretty excited to be sharing this cute card today over on The Rubber Cafe blog.  It is not often I have a wicked cool idea but we were asked to try and create shaker cards with this months Creative Cafe Kit of the Month.  I decided to punch out the tires of the bicycle and create a double shaker card.  I love how it turned out and hope that you do too.

The beautiful papers that I used here are included in your kit but they are from Fancy Pants Design.  The collection is called True Friends.  I love it.  Everything about it.

Sunny Snapshots mini album

We are already half way through January with no snow to speak of.  It is EXTREMELY cold and I burrowed in for few days while my family goes to school and work.  I have been trying to organize and clean out but something keeps calling me back to my scrap space.  I decided to create a mini album from November when we went apple picking in weather that was sunny and bright, well one day anyway.  Thinking maybe that would warm my feet.  Nope.  Today I have Smart Wool socks on, homemade knitted socks and my husbands slippers.  My own don't fit over so many layers.  I am sipping coffee with a lemon candle burning.  Hoping I feel warmer.

Here is my sunny mini that didn't help change the temperature but it sure was fun making.

I created this album with cardstock pages.  I use Bazzill 8.5 x 11 Avalanche.  It has just enough texture and my favorite.  I cut this in half the long way and folded in half with the texture inside, to create the pages of my album.  Best thing about making your own album, you can decide how many pages you want for your event.  I knew I needed 5 open pages.

I then used a strong adhesive to attach the pages back to back like so.

To create even sturdier pages, I machine stitched as close to the inside as I could on each page.  I HAVE to use my sewing machine on everything lately.  It is a stage I am going through.  Remember the funky scissor stage?  Tearing paper stage?  Been through it all!!!

I chose the papers from Pink Paislee I wanted on the outside of my album.  Attached with a strong adhesive and whipped it through my sewing machine again, of course!  Then I started decorating the inside.  We went picking twice.  The first time, on the rainiest day ever and then again with our friends.  We ate apples for weeks!  Apple pie, Apple Crisp, Apple Sauce, Baked Apples.  Everywhere we went, we took something apple with us!

There is a local farm that has a cold cellar and we can still get apples that taste freshly picked.  We are lucky to live in New England.  Even though I am kinda crabby today.  I hope you have enjoyed my little mini and think about creating one for yourself.  I will list the products I used below.

Supplies used:
Bazzill 8.5 x 11 Avalanche cardstock
Pink Pailsee:  Hello Sunshine Patterned paper

He is pictured to the left with my handsome boy.

Everything has Beauty - mambi

I unexpectedly have a layout over on the mambi blog today.  I created this layout of my chums little girl using mambiBANNERS, mambiSHEETS and mambiSTICKS for CHA.  On the me & my BIG ideas blog, they show you how it was displayed in their booth. Be sure to stop over to see.  HERE.

I used the Festive mini mambiBANNERS.  I sewed across the top and bottom to secure them.  The title is a large sticker from the Think Happy Thoughts mambiSTICKS

The Remember This is from the Here and Now POCKET PAGES™.
I adore the simplicity of this layout.
